Learn to Sail Program

Students who are looking to learn how to sail can attend our free "Learn to Sail" program which typically occurs on weekends. This program allows students to learn sail theory, points of sail, basic rules of the water and how to eventually sail on their own. No sailing experience is required. All we ask is that students show up on time to the Learn to Sail to get enough sail time on the water.

Once sailors feel comfortable sailing on their own, they will be able to take a friend sailing during Open Sails. Sailors who already have sailing experience and are looking to join the club to sail recreationally can be checked out by taking a knowledge test and completing a capsize drill.
