Already have sailing experience and looking to have access to boats? Come to our sailing facility to sail during the weekends with a friend. Before taking a friend out on the water, sailors must demonstrate competency and must pass a capsize test to ensure you know how to safety right the boat. Sailors are eligible to take out FJs and 420s while the Learn to Sail program has their on-land session.

Students can work up to attend Open Sails once they have attended at least 2 Learn to Sail sessions or go out with a member of the Sailing Team. Open Sails are also for students who are part of the recreational side of the club, and we encourage sailing team members on JV & Developmental to attend to gain more experience on the water.
